After your initial consultation, the veneers procedure is typically completed within two sessions. On your first visit, your dentist may do minimal preparations, take impressions and place temporary restorations. In addition, your dentist may create a mockup or wax that allows you to “try on” your new smile. The dentist can also stimulate the final result through digital smile design.
After a few days, you will come for your second appointment to test and fit your veneers. Once all the necessary adjustments are done, your veneers will be bonded to your teeth.
Veneers are made from incredibly durable material but just like your natural teeth, they can crack or break under pressure. With meticulous oral hygiene and routine dental checkups and maintenance, veneers can last anywhere from 15 to 20 years.
Taking care of your veneers is no different from looking after your natural teeth – brush twice a day with a non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste, floss once daily and visit your dentist and hygienist regularly. If you grind your teeth, your dentist may recommend a night guard to avoid damaging your veneers.
It’s no secret that a beautiful smile does wonders to our confidence. For a lot of people, correcting some flaws in their teeth can be life-changing.
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin laminates placed over the front part of the tooth to recreate a youthful and natural-looking smile. Veneers can be used to enhance the size, shape, color and position of your teeth. At Esthetic Dental Clinic, our dentists work very closely with our ceramists to give you a smile you can be proud of.
